Our Principal

EquinoxDG is led by Vaughan Woodruff, a clean energy and regulatory reform leader with deep experience in distributed energy resource (DER) interconnection. He has worked as a solar contractor, regional solar and storage executive, industry trade group leader, and national interconnection reform advocate, including as Vice President of Regulatory Reform at the Interstate Renewable Energy Council. His work focuses on practical solutions that align policy, utility operations, and market realities.

We work specifically on challenges related to distributed generation (DG), which are resources interconnecting to the distribution system. We do not work on issues related to connecting merchant generators to the bulk transmission system.

If you work for a public interest organization, we can develop a regulatory and legislative strategy with you to address these issues.

For utilities, we can help your teams streamline interconnection procedures to best allocate limited resources and help translate between your technical and policy teams.
